Building AI & Data Capabilities Requires More Than Fancy Models

Most organizations do not struggle because they lack AI tools. They struggle because systems, workflows, incentives, and people are often not prepared to absorb AI meaningfully.

My work focuses on bridging that gap — translating AI from isolated experimentation into practical operational capability.

About

I’ve worked across telecom, banking, technology, customer operations, and executive education — progressing from an individual contributor to senior leadership roles before transitioning completely into Data Science and AI capability building.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in client-facing roles. I’ve contributed to RFPs, helped onboard new businesses, built processes from the ground up, and led initiatives tied directly to operational performance and business outcomes.

Data became the common thread across every role I took on. I learned early that most business challenges are ultimately data challenges. That perspective shaped my path into quality leadership roles. My early work in quality systems, process excellence, and operational analytics gradually evolved into a deeper focus on statistics, business analytics, financial engineering, and AI.

Since 2018, I’ve been channeling that experience into teaching, mentoring, and advisory work — helping professionals and organizations build practical capability in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI.

I have contributed to 10+ postgraduate programs and bootcamps in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI, delivered through leading EdTech platforms in partnership with institutions including MIT, McCombs School of Business, and IIIT Bangalore.

My Learning Journey

Current Focus

Currently focused on helping organizations build practical AI capabilities across products, processes, and decision systems. My work spans AI product strategy, workflow design, capability development, and process re-engineering — with an emphasis on applying AI where it creates measurable operational value.

I am also involved in the development of AI-driven products and platforms as a partner at VizBolt, while continuing to build industry-oriented learning initiatives through Academy for Competitive Data Science.
